This was the twenty-eighth Yourovision Song Contest, which took place in the Polish capital, Warsaw, following their win with Margaret in the previous edition.

Following Poland's first-ever Yourovision victory, Warsaw was selected as the host city, alongside the slogan "Harmonise", to be accompanied by theme-art partially inspired by the previous winning song, "Cool Me Down". The theme was to be incorporated into the exact design of the semi-finals in new ways, never before seen at the Yourovision Song Contest.
