Welcome to your Eurovision Song Contest.

This was the fifteenth edition of the Yourovision Song Contest, to be held in Tampere, after Jannika B won the previous edition, bringing the contest back to its first-ever host country for the first time since the first edition.

Although no national finals had been used to directly choose the participants of this edition, the home entry, for Finland, was chosen indirectly, through Yourovision Battle Royale, in which it placed second when competing to participate in the previous edition.

Following a surprising number of withdrawals, this edition was the smallest since the fifth edition, with no more than thirteen entries.
