Universong 73 was the 73rd edition of the Universong Contest, held in New York City, New York, U.S.A., after the winning of Carrie Underwood in Ohrid, FYR Macedonia with the song "Something in the water". The contest was held from December 17th, 2014 to January 12th, 2015.
The biggest favourite to win was Russia, with the song "7 cifr" by Russian superstar Sergey Lazarev. He eventually won the contest with a total of 222 points (50 points ahead over runner-up South Africa) and eleven 12 points. Germany, Finland and Greece completed the top 5.
