Universong 6 was the 6th edition of the Universong Contest, held in the town of Motala, Sweden, during 2010. This is the first Swedish stagining of the contest, after Darin won the contest in The Hague, The Netherlands, with the song "Love killer".
The Universong Contest kept on increasing. In this edition 25 countries took part, counting on the debut of England, Finland, Scotland and Slovakia. The debut of both England and Scotland meant the withdrawal of United Kingdom, country that is only available to play for in the Universong Contest when none of the elegible UK constituting countries are playing in any edition (United Kingdom would only return for the special edition held between USC 10 and USC 11, and then from USC 24 to USC 27, and from then, it never came back to contest).
After a succession of top 10 results in its two previous participations, Iceland got its first Universong winning. The girl band Nylon won first place with the song "Losing a friend", collecting a total of 113 points, setting a new record of points for a winning song. With 3 points of difference in second place, Turkey won its best placement up to that date, with the song "Aynen oyle" by Ajda Pekkan. Debuting Scotland won third place with 96 points, thanks to the song "This is the life" by Amy Macdonald. The top 5 was completed by the songs representing United States and Azerbaijan.
