The Music Thing: Tournament of Champions is the first Tournament of Champions (TOC) edition of The Music Thing. In this edition, the top five songs that have competed in Editions 1-10 of The Music Thing from each region of the world compete in regional finals, and all the winners compete against each other in the Grand Final.
Norway was selected to host the competition because Norway has the best record in The Music Thing previously out of all the countries that have never won the contest before. The only countries that had a better record than them prior to the eleventh edition were Australia and Kazakhstan.
