Monte Carlo
The World Music Contest 66, often referred to as TWMC#66, was the 66th edition of The World Music Contest. This edition held in Monte Carlo after Monaco won the previous edition of this contest.
In this edition the top four in each semi-final is qualified directly to the final. The numbers five till eight of the semi-finals have to compete in the VHB-Competition, the second chance competition. The top-5 in this competition is also qualified for the final.
Norway was the best country of the VHB Competition finishing in second place in the final.
Hosting country Monaco was automatically qualified and was also disqualified. Never seen before in TWMC.
Also Greece was disqualified in this final. Singer Katerine Duska was this month announced as Greek representative on the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. Eurovision artists are not allowed in our own contest.
