The World Music Contest 36, often referred to as TWMC#36, was the 36th edition of The World Music Contest. This edition held in Bristol after United Kingdom won the previous edition of this contest.
In this edition the top-5 in each semi-final is qualified for the final. The Funky Loser was Indonesia, this is a wild card for one of the not qualified songs on position#6 in the semi-finals. The managers VHB-Trophy was won by Hungary, this country failed to qualify, but became second in the final ranking thanks to this wildcard.
From this edition it was no longer possible to enter ex-winners of the contest.
