The World Music Contest 33, often referred to as TWMC#33, was the 33th edition of The World Music Contest. This edition held in Bruges after Belgium won the previous edition of this contest.

TWMC continued after a one-month break. In this edition the top-5 in each semi-final is qualified for the final. The Funky Loser was Taiwan, this is a wild card for one of the not qualified songs on position#6 in the semi-finals. The managers VHB-Trophy was won by Turkey.

For the first time in TWMC history did a country win twice in a row.
