oddasat (or Odda) is a male user from Finland. Nowadays he prefers using his first name Jani instead. He joined on forums originally in August 2014 and rejoined in November 2016.

He were most active on forums and in contests during 2014-2015. He came back to the forums in the end of 2016 but has been mostly inactive, although he participated in a few editions of FoIM and one edition of SVSC between 2017-2019.

He previously hosted Classic Lyrical Song Contest during two editions, which was a sub-contest for Lyrical Song Contest.

Festival of International Music

Jani was initially invited to take part in this contest by the contest host Rontti. He stayed in the competition during the first five editions before withdrawing due to inactivity.

When confirmations for the 21st edition were opened in June 2017, Jani confirmed his comeback and announced that he will take Spain. Thus Festival of International Music came the first contest where he took part after his long hiatus from forums. However this return wasn't very successful as he forgot to vote in the contest and the entry didn't qualify to the Grand Final. He participated again later in the 26th edition and voted as intended. He continued to take part until edition 29.

Although Jani does not currently participate in the main contest itself, he debuted in Festival of Retro Music, which is a sub-contest of FoIM.

Jani debuted in the 5th edition as Oddasat. The contest was arranged but got cancelled later during voting phase due to participants not voting (including myself, I confess). Thus the 5th edition was skipped entirely and the contest proceeded straight to the 6th edition. Jani did not reconfirm his participation for that edition and is yet to return.

Dream Song Contest

Initially, Jani took Andorra for the first edition of Dream Song Contest. Later he confirmed his participation to the second and third edition beforehand but eventually forgot to send an entry for the third edition which resulted to withdrawal. After sitting out an edition he returned to the contest with Finland for two more editions before leaving indefinitely.

Jani's first ever confirmation happened in Eurofestival Song Contest, although the participation itself never happened, as the contest went inactive soon after and when it was relaunched, he decided to not take part.

Festival of Miracles

Jani debuted in the fifth edition of FoM with Monaco. Ella, elle l'a for that edition is the first ever song contest entry submitted by him.

He participated until edition 15 and was absent only from the ninth edition. After the "Best Of" special edition in the 10th installment he changed his country to France since it was free at the moment. Jani won the contest in the 11th edition, which marks his first win ever.

Lyrical Song Contest

Jani debuted in the ninth edition of LySC, where imaginary countries were competing for the first time because of a special edition. After that it became permanent premise of the contest.

Jani's country, San Clementino was absent during editions 17, 18, 19 and the last two editions, but otherwise it participated every time since the concept with imaginary countries were introduced. He planned a comeback for edition 31, but the contest never continued after the 30th one.

Lyrical Song Contest had two sub-contests too, one for child performers and one for songs released before 2000s. San Clementino participated in both. Jani's second and so far the latest win comes from the Classic LySC, where he won the third edition.

Magija Song Contest

Jani was going to debut in the second edition of Magija Song Contest as Finland before the contest arranger announced the closure of the contest.

However on May 2015 the contest was re-opened and it ran for three editions. For the second edition in the relaunched contest Jani confirmed his participation with the same entry which was already sent earlier.

Power Song Festival

In PSF Jani has his worst result to date: 24th in the seventh edition with nul points as Portugal. In addition, it was his second last place in a row in the contest. He changed his country for edition nine to Lithuania. After this experiment he decided to withdraw from the contest for 5 editions before doing an one-off return as New Zealand.

Jani took part during three editions as Liechtenstein, but after nul points from edition seven he left the contest. However, the result wasn't the reason for withdrawing.
