The Koreavision Song Contest (KSC) is an upcoming online song contest on YouTube. The competition is based upon the existing Eurovision Song Contest. In the KSC, different entertainment companies from South Korea compete against each other.
The entries are chosen by the participating users internally or with a preselection. They must be performed by artists who are under contract to the agency they're representing. The songs must have been released within the last three years and competing groups must still be active. Furthermore, there should be an official or fan-made music video for each entry. There is no maximum or minimum length.
The selection period for the participating agencies begins on May 21, 2017. When enough users confirmed their intention to participate, the entries will be selected.
Shows
In the Koreavision Song Contest, there will be two semifinals with half of the competing agencies each. The big three agencies (S.M. Entertainment, JYP Entertainment and YG Entertainment) are automatically qualified for the final. The running order will be drawn during the preselection period.
Voting
The users create a top 10 of their favorite entries. The one with the most points is the winner. You can not vote for your own song.
