Your mini-selection (also known as YMS) is a Spanish selection for the Yourovision Song Contest created by EscAlfon. It's based on a not very common idea: The voting is completely in the public's hands, 100%. No jury votes. This concept is based on two things:
- - Alfon can't vote for himself, so his opinions aren't very important
- - The idea of making this kind of pre-selection appears when he likes various songs from the same artist and isn't convinced of which one would do better in the ysc. Also, he thinks that sending constantly the same artist could affect his results, so he prefers to send just the best one.
Voting system: You vote with 8, 4, 2 and 1 point, giving the highest score (8) to your favourite song and the lowest (1) to the one you like the least.
There are always 4 songs, all of them interpreted by the same artist.

First edition[]
It took place in July 2016 to choose the Spanish song for the contest's 30th edition. All the songs are sung by Ruth Lorenzo. The voting was made by a total of 9 people. It's the most succesful so far; the winner reached top 3 giving Spain its best result in the YSC.
