Anna Faroe

Anna Nygaard (stage name Anna Faroe) (born 1. august 1991) is a faroese singer.

She was known by her participation in the Danish X Factor 2010. She ended in fifth place. Her repatriation from the fifth liveshow has been very controversial, among the claims of the Danish TV Broadcaster (DR) not had counted all the votes, which DR later on rejected it.

She was born and raised on Faroe Islands, but moved to Copenhagen in the summer 2009, where she started in the technical singing school, Complete Vocal Institute. She believes in Jehovah's Witnesses.

At May 31st 2010, Anna released her debut album "Because I want to" under the stage name Anna Faroe, where she charted with her first single "Walking on Fire".

Anna Faroe participated for Denmark in the twentieth edition of OVSC with her song "Walking on Fire", after winning in the ninth edition of Danish Music Contest.
