The Factual Song Contest #01 was the 1st edition of the Factual Song Contest. It took place in the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan. The contest consisted of a final on 27 May 2016, hosted by Perfume.
The winner of the contest was Sweden with the song "Fire in the Rain", performed by Måns Zelmerlöw.
Eleven countries participated in the contest. In the final, France finished second, Brazil finished third. 43 viewers worldwide watched the contest.

The contest took place in the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo. The Tokyo Dome has a capacity of approximately 55,000 attendees, and this was the first time the contest has been staged at the venue.

Bidding phaseEdit

Host announced on 19 May 2016 that the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo will be the only one choice venue.
