The Bundesvision Song Contest, often shortened to BVSC, or Bundesvision, is a song contest on Instagram held among the states of Germany and additional territories since August 2017 and is inspired by the Eurovision Song Contest.
Each states's head of delegation gets to select an entry for each edition either by internal or national selection. Then the countries get to vote in the final show to determine the winner of the edition.
So far, ten editions have taken place, with Berlin winning three times, Bavaria and North Rhine-Westphalia winning twice and Baden-Württemberg, Schleswig-Holstein and Hesse each winning the contest once.
History
The first ever Bundesvision Song Contest started in August 2017. It was held in Hamburg, the second largest city of Germany. Baden-Württemberg was the first ever state to win the contest. The winner is traditionally set to be the host of the following edition.

Presentation of votes
The order of the voting states is the same as the running order of the main show. After the interval act is over, when all the points have been calculated, the presenter(s) of the show call upon each voting state in turn to invite them to announce the results of their vote. Often the opportunity is taken by each state to show their spokesperson standing in front of a backdrop which includes a famous place in that country. Traditionally, the results were made in a selfmade scoreboard with the countries announcing one by one point.
Nul points
So far not a single state has received nul points. The state that received the lowest score to date is Berlin in edition five. After losing 50% of their score for not voting, Judith Holofernes finished with 12 points for her song "Ich bin das Chaos".
