AfricaVision Song Contest 42 was the 42nd edition of AFV. The contest took place in Rundu, 
Namibia. The winner of AFV#42 was 
Comoros with the song "Barman" sung by Soprano, which scored 117 points, beating 
Ghana with a margin of 15 points. 
Gambia finished in the third place and 
Togo in the fourth, while 
Egypt finished in the fifth place.
