Federative Adrian Republic better known as just Adria is a country in Southern Europe. It is located just off the coast of the Balkans in the Adriatic Sea. It has a sea border with Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina to the east, Italy to the west and Montenegro to the south-east. Its economy mostly relies on tourism, with tourists arriving from all over Europe to visit its beaches. Adria has a dispute over several islands with Croatia, a country which doesn't recognize it as independent since its declaration of independence in 1992. The country remained relatively unharmed by the Yugoslav wars, as there are no land borders with the rest of the Yugoslav countries. Adria has been a member of the EU since 2004. Adria has been blocking Croatian accession to the EU for multiple years until they reached an agreement in 2012 to start normalizing relations, including accepting Croatian accession to the EU. The country has attempted several debuts to the Eurovision Song Contest all of which have failed due to lack of interest by the Adrian public.
